Mix the sugar and lavender, then divide between small bags or jars.
All the packaging we used to present our favours is easily available on the high street. Head to the haberdashery section at John Lewis for ribbon, string, parcel labels and butterfly clips. Confetti sells cellophane bags, or get friends and family to help wash and save small jars.
You can make the sugar up to 2 months before the wedding. Package in small bags or jars up to 2 months before the big day. On the label, let guests know to use within 6 months, and suggest uses – great in shortbread, sprinkled over a sponge or stirred into berries.
