All about BBC Good Food's Cheap & Healthy Diet Plan

A healthy diet should be balanced and followed all year round. This three-day plan serves two people and comes in at just £30*. There is also a vegetarian option of the plan available for those wish to avoid meat. These three days are designed to kick-start your healthy habits and help you to see the benefits of healthy eating quickly. The recipes have been created by food writer Sara Buenfeld in collaboration with Good Food's nutritional therapist Kerry Torrens. Kerry has also provided additional nutritional tips and information to help you make informed choices and carry on eating well after the three days.

What to expect from these three days

Our plan has been designed to ensure you get a minimum of your 5-a-day, plenty of whole-grains and we’ve included one portion of oily fish to count towards your weekly quota. We’ve also included foods that provide some of the common nutrients lacking in our modern day diets, like vitamin D and magnesium. While following the plan you are free to change days around or repeat them, but try not to swap individual meals, that’s because each day is calculated to ensure you get the optimal mix of foods as well as the nutrients and calories you need.
How will you feel?
By following our plan you can expect to feel lighter and more energised, plus after three days you should find you're more inclined to make healthier choices on your own. All three days include all the nutrients you need for good health and prove that, even if money is tight, healthy eating is within reach.
When will I get the plan?

As soon as you sign up we will send you an e-mail to the address you have provided, which will contain links to all the recipes you'll need, a handy shopping list and tips for eating a healthy, balanced diet beyond the three-day plan.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication, you should check with your doctor first before you do any diet plan.
